![]() Wireless & Wired FM ModulatorsRunning wires through a vehicle can be a major pain, but you still want the ability to hear your MP3 player through your sound system. Or, maybe you've installed an overhead video monitor and in order to hook it up to your stereo you now have to dig into your dashboard for the audio connections. Wireless FM modulators use your vehicle's existing radio to play any audio source through your speakers without having to run any wiring. The FM modulator will transmit on a certain channel and when your radio is tuned to that channel you have instant music. In some conditions, however, lack of transmission strength and local radio interference can make the sound quality and reception less than ideal. A wired FM modulator works on the same principle, but instead of transmitting the signal to your radio wirelessly, it actually plugs into your receiver's antenna input. This virtually eliminates any outside interference and ensures that you get the strongest signal strength possible for the clearest and cleanest sound. Both wired and wireless FM modulators work with any audio source that has a standard audio output. Looking for an iPod FM transmitter? Click here. |
