AVN Series
The AVN series from Eclipse represents the pinnacle of technology, functionality, and sound quality. Combining navigation, DVD playback, together with audiophile grade components and sound shaping technologies, Eclipse raises the bar once again. Eclipse designed the AVN line with variety in mind, making it possible to find a multimedia source unit that exactly fits your needs. For instance, advanced 24-bit Delta-Sigma digital-to-analog converters are used to ensure the finest details are delivered from every CD or DVD, while the nine or seven band equalizers and high and low pass crossovers provide enough sound shaping capability to fine tune the response of your speakers for maximum clarity. E-iServe Technology logo E-iServe technology is available in four of the six Eclipse CD receivers. E-iServe technology allows a wealth of customization: optimize in-car system response, provide map guidance, as well as the ability to customize displays and enhanced control abilities! Customized data is saved on either a CD-R or Memory Stick and transferred to the radio in minutes! E-iServe compatible radios include the CD3000, CD4000, CD5000, CD7000. Combine the DCU-105 Audio Video Matrix with either the AVN7000 or AVX5000 to unlock the full potential using E-iServe.

Area Shot uses enhanced MapQuest data to provide directions to your desired destination.

Logon to Eclipse E-iServe website, enter in a destination (up to three routes simultaneously) and download your custom map data
Save the data to a CD-R or Memory Stick and upload to your CD player
Basic guidance directions will appear on your radio's display. Enhanced mapping data is available on the CD7000 and CD5000

Adding the GPS-105 to the CD7000, CD5000, and select AVN models further enhances the Area Shot capabilities as well.

Automated map display switching moves from section to section of the MapQuest map automatically rather than having to manually shift the map.
Upcoming intersection "heads up" signal audibly informs the driver when an important intersection or turn is approaching, allowing the driver to keep eyes on the road.
Realtime progress reports inform the driver of the distance to the next turn or intersection.

POI information is available at your finger tips! The radio display will show the five closest points of interest. Simply select the number associated with the POI for information.
With the GPS105 connected, the map will also align itself with your vehicle's direction, making it easier to reference the map at a glance.

Audio Customize

Using E-iServe, users can customize various audio properties for their compatible Eclipse source unit.

Time Alignment: Since speakers are different distances from the driver, sound reaches the ears at different times, blurring the sound stage. Correct timing differences by adding delay to individual speakers for a more natural and realistic sound stage.

Crossover: Sharpen your speaker response and keep them within their optimal frequency range by custom-tuning your radio's internal crossover settings

Parametirc EQ: Use the tools the pro's use! Adjust a multi-band parametric EQ for each individual channel in your ride!

Add the MEI-100 tuning microphone to compatible models and E-iServe will "read" your interior and custom design audio parameters for your particular vehicle to maximize the listening experience!

Wallpaper and Motion Picture Customize

For the CD7000 and CD5000, users can customize their motion picture screen savers using E-iServe. Eclipse has 12 new MP's available for the CD7000 and five new MP's for the CD5000. Or, download special software from Eclipse and create your own 7-second animated clip!

ESN Security - Don't Steal What You Can't Use!

ESN logo One technology that has set apart Eclipse from the rest throughout the years is the exclusive ESN Technology - the Eclipse Security Network.

Here's how it works:

Choose a CD to become your "Key CD", used for unlocking the radio
Should power be lost either from a dead battery or attempted theft, the radio will be inoperable until the proper Key CD is inserted.
If incorrect CDs are attempted too many times, the radio will lock out further attempts and can now only be unlocked by Eclipse or an authorized retailer, displaying a message like "Call 800" on the radio's display.
For Memory Stick capable CD players, multimedia, and navigation radios that feature memory stick capability, ESN technology can also be managed using the stick rather than a security CD.

If your radio is installed by an authorized Eclipse installer and registered, Eclipse guarantees your radio against theft for 1 year. If stolen, Eclipse will replace your unit for free!
