The Door Kit serves as a "sonic barrier" by lowering road noise and eliminating speaker distortion due to door panel vibration.
Rattling trunks lead to distorted sound and losses in SPL. The Dynamat Trunk Kit reinforces trunk panels and eliminates rattles. The result is tight and loud bass that you can "feel".
Noise and vibration are prevalent in the automotive environment and act to degrade the listening experience. Music must be played at elevated volumes to overcome road noise while a portion of the low frequency acoustical energy is absorbed into flexing and vibrating panels (this is especially troublesome to SPL competitors). Vibrating panels and baffles also "color" the music by adding unwanted distortion.
